We are available to any law enforcement agency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long.
There is no charge for our services.
Northstar S.A.R.D.A. was established in Minnesota in 1989. Northstar provides well trained dog and handler teams to assist law enforcement and other official public safety agencies at no charge. For information, e-mail us at

Dog and handler teams are trained with state and nationally recognized standards to find missing people of a non-violent nature. Examples of when search dogs can be helpful: An overdue hiker or hunter; a missing child, an Alzheimers patient who has wandered away; a drowning victim in a lake or river; a person suspected of being in a collapsed structure and other disasters; to locate the remains of a person when they may have been the victim of a crime. Northstar SARDA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) all volunteer organization.
